HURST Corporate Finance were appointed to advise on the simultaneous disposal of Lovett Care Group to H.I.G Capital and acquisition of two elderly care homes Goldendale and Trewan House by the Lovett Care founders in March 2021.

Hurst supported the founders and management team with structuring the transactions and leveraged their lasting relationships with intermediaries to source and raise debt finance to complete the acquisitions.

CareConcepts, previously Salutem, is an innovative care company formed in 2003. Carl Scarlett, Lynne Scarlett & Lee Stringfellow provide support and care to older people in Manchester, Warrington, Trafford and St Helens through their care homes; Goldendale House, Trewan House & Marion Lauder.

CareConcepts provides 24-hour nursing support, social activities, nutritious meals, relaxing spa treatments and much more.

Since the initial acquisitions, a further care home has been acquired in Warrington (Marion Launder House) which has doubled the profitability of the newly formed “CareConcepts” group.

We have maintained a close relationship with management, assessing other acquisition opportunities that have been presented and are currently in exclusivity on another deal that has the potential to once again double the size of the overall group.
